Hence, pure in heart; temper or dispositions; free from sin and sinful affections.
Immaculate and complete in moral character; and man is more or less holy, as his heart is more or less sanctified, or purified from evil dispositions.
We call a man holy, when his heart is conformed in some degree to the image of God, and his life is regulated by the divine precepts.
Hence, holy is used as nearly synonymous with good, pious, godly.

Our God is the only holy God
The Bible talks about— The Holy One / The holy covenant / The holy people / The holy city / The holy place / His holy name / The holy land / The holy mountain / The Holy Spirit.
ALL other gods are unclean, unholy and profane
The worship of other gods, centers around immoral, unholy, unclean and perverse things.
All sin is profane, when we sin we bring shame on the holiness of God.
All things close to God, are and must be Holy
The way to come into the presence of God in the past was only through the shed blood of an animal.
Now we have a way through the precious blood of Jesus.
Those who stand in His presence need to stand clean before Him.
