Consider the Real Cost.
The cost of not obeying His call:

Stopping to consider His call will paralyze us.
/Remember, Peter was going to join Jesus.

instead, he stopped to look at what he was doing.

Stopping to look at our own efforts will sink us.
/The next thing we see is that Peter could no longer go to Jesus, He began to sink!/
