Tree and Its Fruit
Matthew 7:15-2315 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 1. WE THINK WE=VE DONE A GREAT JOB, BUT WE HAVEN=T.
Gal. 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Deceived 4105 planao {plan-ah'-o} deceive , err , go astray ; seduced ; wander ; to cause to stray; to lead astray; lead aside from the right way; wander; roam about.
Don=t find out that your way , your preference, your pride, your ego, your selfish desires, your stubborness, your unwillingness to listen, your unwillingness to hear,caused you to loose or to be lost in the end @in that day@.
2. HAVE YOU NEVER ESTABLISHED A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.Established
3549 nomotheteo {nom-oth-et-eh'-o} establish; receive the law; laws are enacted or prescribed for one; to sanction by law; fixed; permanment; firmly incorporated ;stable; and secure.
Romans 14: 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
3. CONVICTION OF THE HEART TO SEE THE NEED OF A RELATIONSHIP
1651 elegcho {el-eng'-kho} CONVICTION of uncertain; convince (one's) fault; to convict; generally with a suggestion of shame of the person convicted; by conviction to bring to the light, to expose; to find fault with; to call to account, show one his fault, demand an explanation.
John 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman (caught in adultery) standing in the midst.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
At this juncture Jesus indicates that He will be the Judge of the world in the coming times. AThat day@ is the time of the Lord=s coming in glory and the time of judgement.
The Amany@ are those who are distinct from the rest of those confessing Jesus becuase, despite their Aachievements@, they have not been doers of the divine will. The fact that Amany@ are mentioned indicates that the danger of false prophets is/was very great. The false prophets call on Jesus= name, just as the true prophets Ain your name@. Some succeeded in casting out demons, but not all. That these men appeal to their Aworks@ Ain that day@ may indicate that they claim to have achieved something exceptional. But they have deceived themselves and used the name of Jesus w/o submitting to his Lordship.
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (KJV) I never knew you: homologeo {hom-ol-og-eh'-o}Confess; profess; promise , to admit or declare, DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY.
458 anomia {an-om-ee'-ah} iniquity unrighteousness , transgress the law; transgression of the law. 1) the condition of without law 2) because of violating it 3) contempt and violation of law 4.)wickedness
A I N K Y A was used by rabbis in excomunication formulas. It does not mean, therefore that Jesus did not see through the false prophets and their followers; rather it indicates that they were strangers to Him, outsiders who would be excluded from the kingdom of God.
DON=T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. Jesus cited Psalm 6:8 in that connection.
PSALM 6:1-9
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. 2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. 3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long? 4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake. 5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? 6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. 7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. 9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. 10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
