With this message I have I just felt that the Lord wanted me to give a shot gun message. What I mean by shot gun is that I'm going to hit a whole lot of areas. Things that we're going to ministry on, are things that we've already ministered on; it's not the time to go on to new things. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.[1]”

     I. 1st of all or I could say, point #1, turn with me to HEB 2:1

              A. Take heed to the things that we have already heard. Take heed to the Word that goes forth today.

              B. 2PET 1:12-15

                        1. It’s important that you are established in these truths; if you are already established in these truths then you should be stirred up.

                        2. You need to stay in remembrance of the things that you have already learned, so that you will not let them slip.

                                  a. Keep yourself in remembrance, not waiting for the Pastor to preach a message on the subject, but meditate on the things that you have already learned.

II. Point #2 Renew your mind.

              A. ROM 8:6-7

                        1. In (V 6) it tells us that the CARNAL mind or the unrenewed mind is DEATH.

                        2. In (V 7) It says that the unrenewed mind is at ENMITY with GOD.

                                  a. The word "Enmity" means "Hostility, opposition, hatred."

                                           i. So this V is saying that the unrenewed mind is in opposition & Hostile to God.

ii. You can't continue to serve the Lord when your mind is unrenewed or when it becomes unrenewed. (explain)

                        3. In the book of TITUS it tells us that the unrenewed mind is defiled.

              B. But in (ROM 8:6) it tells us that the renewed mind produces life & peace.

                        1. (2TIM 1:7) Tells us that the mind that is renewed on the Word of God is a SOUND mind.

              C. ROM 12:2

                        1. The Bible tells us that when we get our mind renewed to the Word of God, we can know the will of God for our lives.

                        2. Look with me to EPH 4:22-23

                                  a. When your mind is renewed to the Word you'll begin to change.

                                  b. Your life style will begin to change.

                                  c. (COL 3:10) Says, “Put on the new {man}.”

              D. 2COR 10:4-5

                        1. When our mind get renewed with the Word of God, our thought life will no longer be the same; we'll cast down those imaginations, and we'll bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

III. That even puts me at my 3rd point.

              A. Go back to ROM 12:1

                        1. In this V he is saying that we are to live a holy life.

                                  a. But did you notice that he said that this is our reasonable service.

                                  b. This is what God expect of us & it's reasonable.

              B. In (1PET 1:16) the Lord says, “Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

     IV. Point #4 2COR 5:7

              A. (HEB 10:38) Says, “Now the just shall live by faith: but if {any man} draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”

              B. Look down just a few more Vs to HEB 11:1

                        1. This V gives us the definition of faith.

                        2. 1ST it says that faith is “The substance of things hoped for.”

                                  a. Faith will give substance to those things that you have been hoping for.

                                           i. Or you could say it this way, “Faith will bring the manifestation to those thing you have been hoping for.”

                        3. In the 2ND part of that V it says, “That Faith is the evidence of things not seen.”

                                  a. Faith is the evidence or proof that the things you've been hoping for are yours.

              C. Turn to MARK 11:22

                        1. According to the Worrell and Young’s translation this V would be better read “Have the God kind of Faith.”

                        2. (ROM 12:3) Says, “God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

                                  a. That's where our faith comes from.

              D. MARK 11:23-24

                        1. In (V 24) He says concerning our desired that we have to believe that you receive them, then you will have them.

                                  a. When do you receive them? After you believe you receive them.

                                           i. You have to believe that you receive it 1st then you'll see it.

                        2. ROM 10:17

                                  a. I like to put it this way that Faith comes by hearing & hearing, & hearing & hearing.

                                  b. The more you hear the Word of God the more you're going to be able to stand in faith, & the stronger that faith will get.

                        3. Unfortunately, it’s possible for a person to have faith today to believe God for something, but tomorrow lack the faith that is needed for the same thing.

                                  a. Remember Peter.

     V. For Point #5 lets look at MARK 11:23 again.

              A. Can you see what Jesus is saying in this V?

                        1. Notice how many times that He's telling us to say something. (read it again)

                        2. Jesus is telling us to speak to the mountain in our lives; speak to the problem in our lives.

                                  a. If we don't doubt it in our heart, but believe it. We'll have whatever we say. As long as it's in line with the Word of God.

                                           i. You can't go outside the Word of God & expect this to work.

              B. (PRO 18:21) Says, “Death and life {are} in the power of the tongue.”

                        1. Look at JOSH 1:8

                        2. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night.”

                                  a. This word here “MEDITATE” means to moan, growl, utter, muse, mutter, meditate, devise, plot, speak, roar study, talk & imagine.[2]

                                  b. He's telling us very clearly that the Word of God should not depart out of our mouth, but we should speak it day & night.

                                  c. That tells me that we are to confess the Word of God.

VI. There is so many other things that we could go into, like; Praying in the Spirit, Using the name of Jesus, Healing, Deliverance, Prosperity, Demon activity, but Pastor Mark will pick up where I left off.

            2 TIM 3:16, 1John 1:1, 1Pet 1:23, Isa 40:8

              A. In closing turn with me to PHIL 4:8

                        1. This tells us where our mind should be.

              B. EPH 6:10-14a

          C. My last "Finally" scripture. 2COR 13:11 (I'm Going to read it from the NIV).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 1. "Finally, brethren, farewell. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. "

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 2.
