This was Gibeon’s mess.
Their lack of integrity and their people pleasing skills brought war to their door.
Joshua could have let them suffer for their own mistakes.
They weren’t supposed to survive anyway.
But there was something greater at stake: The Character of God.

I sure it was his poor decisions and mistakes that got him there.

What makes Jesus so incredible is that he would obligate himself to pay my debt and pull me out spiritual bankruptcy.
We minister to others in their brokenness because the character of God demands it.
When we help others that can’t help themselves our character as children of God is clearly seen.
