Subtitle: Finding Strength for the Victory through Integrity.
Walking the Christian walk is not easy. To make it through the Christian life God has to come through with his power.
So why is it that some people seam to have more power than others.
What would it take for the
What would God do to ensure your victory.
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. ( ESV)

Bible Lesson: (Defining the passage)
Joshua 10:6–7 ESV
6 And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal, saying, “Do not relax your hand from your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites who dwell in the hill country are gathered against us.” 7 So Joshua went up from Gilgal, he and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor.
Joshua 10:6

Honor your vows even when it cost you.

Keeping your vows shows the integrity of your heart.

Ecclesiastes 5:5 ESV
5 It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay.
Only make a vow when you have full assurance that you can keep it.
The decisions you make reveal the character of your heart.

Be ready to pay for the mistakes of others

This was Gibeon’s mess.
Their lack of integrity and their people pleasing skills brought war to their door.
Joshua could have let them suffer for their own mistakes.
They weren’t supposed to survive anyway.
But there was something greater at stake: The Character of God.
The Guy on the street holding up the need help sign.
He looks like he could get a job.
I sure it was his poor decisions and mistakes that got him there.
We turn a blind eye and continue on our path.
We were just like him.
Broken, destitute, with no hope unless someone would help us. Spiritually bankrupt.
Then Jesus came along and paid our debt. He gave to us when we needed him the most.
What makes Jesus so incredible is that he would obligate himself to pay my debt and pull me out spiritual bankruptcy.
We minister to others in their brokenness because the character of God demands it. When we help others that can’t help themselves our character as children of God is clearly seen.
When we who have the ability to
“Paying for the mistakes of others reveals the gracious character of God.”

Obey the Lord even when it’s above you.

Joshua 10:8–9 ESV
8 And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have given them into your hands. Not a man of them shall stand before you.” 9 So Joshua came upon them suddenly, having marched up all night from Gilgal.
Joshua 10:8

.

Do all that you do in the name of the Lord.

Colossians 3:23 ESV
23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
Colossians 3:23–24 ESV
23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Your actions reflect the Kingdom of God.

Your actions reveal your faith in God.
Your actions reveal the character of God to others.
Joshua 10:10 ESV
10 And the Lord threw them into a panic before Israel, who struck them with a great blow at Gibeon and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth-horon and struck them as far as Azekah and Makkedah.
Joshua 10:10 ESV

God.

Finish What You Start!

Finish What You Start!

“Success is not found in a good idea but in the followthrough to see the completion of an idea.”

When God promises victory, God show up to ensure victory.

Joshua 10:11 ESV
11 And as they fled before Israel, while they were going down the ascent of Beth-horon, the Lord threw down large stones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died because of the hailstones than the sons of Israel killed with the sword.
Josh
God has an arsenal in store just for times of war.
Job 38:22–23 ESV
22 “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow, or have you seen the storehouses of the hail, 23 which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?
Job 38:22
Not only does God command you to fight but He fights for us.

God will give you what you need to finish what He started.

Joshua 10:12–13 ESV
12 At that time Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.

One might ask, “How can these things be?” And the answer is simple we serve the Creator God. The one who set the sun, moon, and stars in place.

When you walk in integrity you walk with God. Nothing is impossible with God.

Next Steps (Defining the Process)

Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day. 14 There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for the Lord fought for Israel. ().

Next Steps (Defining the Process)

3 Things to do to walk in Integrity before the Lord.

Think and Pray before you speak.

Make sure God agrees with what you say.
Make sure God is ready to backup what you say.

Create an action plan for your followthrough even if it requires the power of God.

Trust God and do whatever it takes to see the plan through.

Be committed to completion trusting God to see it all the way through.
