4 Groups That Rejected Jesus
1. Jesus was Rejected by His Friends (1-2)
Last week- disciples (not the 12) left him.
2. Jesus was Rejected by His Family (3-5)
Jesus was hurting their honor within their community.
They called him to go to Judea to show them his works.
3. Jesus was Rejected by the World (6-9)
Secular Worldly System
Secularism- rejects the Church.
4. Jesus was Rejected by the Religious Establishment (10-13)
The Jews= in John many times it is a name given to the Religious System.
As a pastor- this is hard- It's where recognition and approval comes from.
Also- legitimacy and bigger churches.

Reflect God Only (16-18)
3 Ways we Speak for God
1. Speak for God (16)
We are his heralds.
- Preacher= Greek word "Herald"
We are called to be God's heralds.
2. Do God's Will (17)
When it isn't about us and our reputation or fame we can discern God's Will.
Our own agenda keeps us from seeing God's Will.
When it is about us- it can't be about God.
3. Glorify God (18)
Pharisees taught under authority of their Rabbi who earned the right to be quoted.
Only those who were experts in the authority of their Rabbi could begin to teach in their own authority.
Jesus taught under God's authority.
He humbled self to be one under the authority of another.
How much more should we?
Glory= manifest presence- whose presence is realized when you do good works?

God judges with right judgment because He judges with Truth.
