The figure of Melchizedek ()

It is not saying Melchizedek is the Son of God.
It is obvious that at very least Melchizedek prefigures the Messiah; however, the author is not necessarily saying Melchizedek is a supernatural or divine being.
His focus is on the superiority of the Melchizedekian priesthood to the Levitical priesthood in relation to the person and work of the Messiah.
The Bible does not give us the details of Melchizedek’s qualifications for priesthood, like it does the priesthood of the Levites.
2. The greatness of Melchizedek ()
