2 Timothy 4:5 NKJV
5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

I’d like to ask you if you have a personal relationship with President Washington?

I Don’t think it is what I thought it was.
when I was growing up I thought it was walking up to some one and asking them about “there Personal relationship with Jesus Christ”
first of all that’s a church phrase, completely UN church-ed people are not Going to get it.
so many of us have been submerged in “Christian Culture” we don’t understand the foundations of our identity in Christ.
because we are so entrenched in our culture many of us don’t understand we are not trying to be Cultural Christians, rather our aim in this life with Christ is to be disciples.
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Before we can make disciples, we have to be disciples.

1 Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV)
11 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
1 Peter 2:1–3 NKJV
1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
we all have fruit of the flesh: none of us is Jesus second cousin. what do you need to lay aside that you might become more of what Father desires?
we all have to lay aside things and become babes in an area of our lives.
if all you have done is catch the christian culture, you wont be bearing fruit. your relationship with Christ will be cold.
we know how hard relationships are with the people that we see often and are doing life with, imagine if you practiced all of those relational skills you’ve been learning on Jesus.
when is the Last time you had a Jesus date Night?

to share your faith, its best if its not on life support.

I’d like us to think about evangelism as worship

John 12:32 NKJV
32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
can we lift Him if we don’t Love Him ?
the reason i say worship evangelism is because our heart for the lost should come out of our heart for Jesus.

there are divine appointments:

Acts 8:26–40 NKJV
26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” 30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 The place in the Scripture which he read was this: “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth. 33 In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.” 34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. 36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?” 37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.
This was a divine appointment. Phillip did nothing but respond to the man in the chariot.
Romans 10:14
Romans 10:14–17 NKJV
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
so we share our faith that they might believe.
