Christ wants a church that is transformed by His glory and bears witness to the world.
We were made to worship and wonder.

Behold His Glory (12-16)
John was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day (Sunday) while under exile.
The Isle of Patmos was in the Aegean Sea, a prison colony for prisoners against Rome.
The Description of Jesus:
The Son of Man - the eternal one to whom has been given dominion.
He is King and Priest v 12-13.
He is in the midst of the churches and clothed in garments of royalty and priesthood.
A Royal Priesthood that surpasses that of all others.
He has both the right to rule and the power to reconcile.
His Purity v. 14 (head and hair white like wool, white as snow)

He has the keys of death and hell.
Be Transformed (17-18)
John’s reaction is what all of us would do, and will do.
He falls down before him in fear.
The greatness of Christ’s glory.
Though he is all powerful, he is gracious.
“He laid His right hand upon me saying, ‘Fear not!’”
When you and I behold the glory of Christ we see our own sin and unworthiness.
It is then that Christ’s grace transforms us.
Rather than crushing us, he touches us in gentleness and tell us not to fear!!!
We are transformed as we worship him who loved us and behold his glory; his purity, power, preeminence, and grace.

Jesus told John to write the things which we saw.
