Kingdom
One of Jesus’ big entrances was the call “Repent, the Kingdom of heaven is at hand!” ()
This is declaring good news that Evil is going to be fought with Good.
So, you need to stop what your doing, turn away from it, and come into this kingdom.
Sometimes people think that means God hasn’t won, Jesus isn’t coming back, or that we can just live however we want to since he isn’t here.
He is still very much in charge.
He is still very much in charge.
Truth 1: Jesus Has Already Won the War
Key word “already”
- who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
It is done.
Final.
Everything has been spoken for.
We understand that
Truth 2: Jesus Has Not Yet Come Back
Key words “Not Yet”
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
It is coming.
It is sure.
It is solid.
Everything has already been decided, but not yet come to a conclusion.

Truth 3: We Live Differently While Waiting
Key Words: “While Waiting”
- Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world.
If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews.
But my kingdom is not from the world.”
- Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.
We are going to live opposite of what everyone thinks life should be lived
first will be last and the meek shall inherit the earth
Secret Church
1+2+3= The Kingdom of God
(experiencing the already/not yet tension)
We know Jesus won
We know He hasn’t come back yet
We know that we are supposed to live out his love while we wait.
When we combine these three thoughts we see the Kingdom of God as it is right now.
The Kingdom Comes
The Kingdom comes when God’s authority is recognized
It is hard
It is hard
Kingdom Right Now
It is Hard
Expect persecution, pain, and death
It is a responsibility
We are told how to deal with money, friends, family, enemies, relationships, and time.
It is a joy
We get to grow closer to God, serve him, sacrifice for him, see him work.
The Kingdom in the Future
The Bible tells us that Jesus will return and there will only be peace, righteousness, and justice
Everything will be made new and work perfectly.
The Holy Spirit will be shared between everyone
Heavenly vs Earthly Perspectives
I gave you three truths and then we saw what they created when they were put together.
Here are how the citizens of this world look at these truths
Truth 1: Jesus has already won the war
No, he was just a nice guy but there is no war
Truth 2: He has not yet come back
He is never coming back.
Truth 3: Live differently while waiting
Instead of waiting, try your very best to get as much stuff, make as much money, get famous, impress people and just be happy.
1+2+3= Kingdom of God
1+2+3= Build your own Kingdom here on earth.
Just get comfy.

If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
