Think about all of the advancements that have taken place since 1874.
The lightbulb hadn’t been invented yet.
The telephone wasn’t around for another 2 years.
The first moving pictures debuted in 1877.
Toilet paper didn’t exist yet.
Things have come a long way since then.
The first one cylinder 2 stroke engine was invented by Carl Benz in 1879.

A lot of things have changed in China Springs in 144 years; a lot has changed in the 7 years that I have lived here.
We are a growing community.
Like it or not.
We are a growing church - like it or not...
One thing has never changed - God has remained faithful.
He never fails.
God has been faithful to OG in the past.
Look at all that He has done.
How he has blessed us.
I want to direct your attention to the book of Joshua chapter 23 today.
Before we read… a little history.

Abraham - called to go… God promised descendants, land, and blessing.
Isaac, Jacob renewed promise.
Joseph - Egypt = saves his family from famine.
God is faithful.
Israel made to be slaves and God sends Moses - he has not forgotten His promise...
Moses receives the law.
Wilderness for 40 years
Joshua leads the people to take possession of the land.
God goes before them.
Joshua 23 - I want to highlight a few verses in this chapter before reading verse 14.
Verses 1-3, 6, 8
One point sermon today.
With a challenge.
God is faithful.
We can trust in His faithfulness to us today.
Do not turn aside from God - not to the right, nor to the left.

Cling to the Lord.
vs 8
In the past God has been faithful.
To A/I/J/M/Joe/David/Prophets/Disciples/Church/OG.
God remains faithful today.
When we are faithless, he is faithful - 2 Tim 2:13
Joseph said: “There was not ONE THING that God failed to do.
Not one.”
God is faithful to us today.
He is trustworthy.

He is able to do far more than we ask or think.
Don’t put any limits on God.
Challenge: It is the same challenge OG faced when they first became a church.

Share the gospel
Do it all to glorify God.
Grow in Christ.
Grow in relationship with Christ.
