Chorno

Jesus has just been threatened to be stoned, yet as He goes, He has healing on His mind and heart.
He is aware of the needs of others despite of the continual threat against His life.

He was blind from birth.
Why did Jesus give light to this man?
Jesus gave what no one else could give him in an instance of His power.
He gave sight to that which by nature was blind.
Notice the parallels here:
We are sinful by nature.
therefore we must be given light to transform the darkness we reside in.
Jesus was compassionate toward the man.
Jesus saw the man.
He didn’t walk by saying He didn’t have time for him.
Jesus was aware of the man’s condition.
Even when the man wasn’t aware of Jesus, Jesus was aware of him!
The Jews believed that sin and suffering are connected.
This belief assumes either he sinned in the womb, or his parents did.
Ezekiel
People tend to associate sin with catastrophe.
We learn later that is simply not the case.
These words to not contradict the universal sinfulness of mankind.
Romans
Jesus states the man’s blindness was not because of a specific sin.
Rather, this existed so God could display His glory.
