Disappointment
Life is full of it.
Once upon a time before I was born thing were awesome, I was sheltered and safe, not a care in the world.
Then one day I was surrounded by bright lights and loud noises and before I could even start to adjust someone smacked my bottom with enough force that I began to cry — I didn’t even know I could cry — And it has never been right since.
Life is Hard
I know I say this a lot, but I say it because it’s true.
It is full of disappointment.
What we are going to do today is take this passage an look at what most people thing is the greatest disappointment, and see the light in it.

Mary wiped Jesus’s feet with her hair in an unashamed demonstration of love and gratitude for the forgiveness of her sin.
When at Martha’s house, Mary was the one who couldn’t tear herself away to be prepared.

When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, many things were demonstrated.
Bad things happen to good people
Even Bad things can work to glorify God the Father
Jesus is all-powerful
victory over death - the ultimate in disappointment (calvin and hobbes)
He is the source of life.
Conclusion
Jesus want to bring us to a place where we can trust in him.
You see, in him we have hope.
In him we have life.
In him we have light.
In him is everything we need to get through this world.
Now maybe we lack the belief that we should have.
Maybe we once had the passion of Mary who didn’t care what people though of her she was going to worship Him despite the embarrassment,
but now the things of the world distracted us.
and we find ourselves unable to get up even when we know He’s coming.
BUT JESUS STILL IS CALLING FOR US
WHEN WE ARE HURT .. HE CRIES FOR US
HE IS DEEPLY MOVED.
HE BRINGS US LIFE.
HE RESURRECTS THE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE RESURRECTED.
LET US RISE UP OUR HEARTS TO HIM AND LET HIM DO WHAT HE DOES.
