Invitation- Verse one- Come X4
Two options in verses 1-2
Take what you need freely.
Buy what you don’t need.

An Invitation Based on Love
KJV- Sure mercies of David… It’s not mercy from David, but mercy David received.
This word translated mercy (actually plural) is one of the most important in the Bible.
And it is such a rich and deep word it is hard to give a good translation in one word… It is the Hebrew word
Hesed
Holman translates as - promises assured
ESV- steadfast sure love
Lexham English- enduring proofs of the mercies shown
NIV- faithful love
CSB- The Basis of the faithful kindness.
You get the idea.
The one word is the foundation behind Lauren Daigle’s song Loyal!
I could never earn Your heart I could never reach that far
But You have pulled me close You've never let me go
I'm safe forever in Your arms Your promises I can not break
And I know You will never change
You are always there for me You listen every time I speak
You look into my eyes You see the things I hide
And say that You will never leave Your promises I can not break
And I know You will never change
When my world shakes Your love remains unshaken
So constant, so perfect, unwavering When my world falls
Your love remains unfailing So constant, so perfect, unwavering
So constant, so perfect, unwavering
Your love is, Your love is
Your love is loyal
More faithful than the rising sun
This grace for me I can't outrun
Your love is, Your love is
Your love is loyal
And this love is based on Covenant.
Everlasting Covenant.
From God.
To all who will COME!
An Invitation that extends to the Nations
I believe the Him in verse 4 is the same Him over chapter 53.
It is Messiah, King Jesus, and descendant of David.
who will suffer and die, abut he will also be a leader a commander.
King Jesus will one day return to rule and reign from Israel, and the nations will come running.
An Invitation that Needs to Be heeded
There is an urgency to be heeded
There is sin to be shunned
Why?
Because God has compassion and free forgiveness to those who will.
There is God’s mind to be considered
There is God’s will to be embraced
There is God’s Joy to be received
