Intro
We have a bit of a busy service today and I will try to get through everything.
Here is how we will roll, we are going to look a few passages, check out a couple of definitions, try to draw some conclusions, then we are going to dismiss early for those that want to leave the service early, there will be no shame in this.
Sometimes, we need to be ready to hear what we need to hear, and we are not always ready or mature enough to hear what we need to hear.
I am not saying that any of you are immature, I’m actually the last person that should be talking or pointing fingers about maturity.
I brought my daughter today just to keep myself honest.
We’re going to watch couple of videos, well we already watched one, but we have another at the end if I can keep my words down.
Pray
Invite the Holy Spirit
Ask for soft hearts
Ask for clarity
Ask for ears to hear

Law (24x’s)
Commandment (25x’s)
Jesus fulfillment of the Law
This got me to thinking, the Psalmist continually declares his love or delight for the Law or Commandments of God
First, I prayed for this desire for myself.
I want to desire scripture.
I want to know God, I don’t want to be satisfied with just reading.
I want to be completely sold out for God in everything.
Jesus states that He is the fulfillment of the Law
Maybe, I should figure out what the Law is, so this sent me to the Book of Leviticus.
Now, I am not all the way through, but I have found some serious gems in this book.
I love it.
Some examples:
Herding Nomadic Community
Wealth was determined by how big your flock was
Sheep herders
Sacrificed the finest of their flock
Jesus set this nation financially free with His sacrifice, and it was rejected
Priests were the nobility
Whatever was sacrificed, they got to eat the leftovers
In a community where eating meat was pretty rare except during the festivals

Ordain:

[Middle English ordeinen, from Anglo-French ordener, ordeiner, from Late Latin ordinare, from Latin, to put in order, appoint, from ordin-, ordo order] verb transitive 14th century

b: destine, foreordain verb intransitive: to issue an order—or•dain•er noun—or•dain•ment \-ˈdān-mənt\ noun
In modern times we look at the laying on of hands as an act of ordination.
If you’ve never been to an ordination service, they are extremely powerful, full of the Holy Spirit.
We, in our denomination, view ordination as the recognition of the call of God that has already been placed on a life, and recognizing that call into ministry.
It is taken from several passages in the new testament.
I Tim.
4:11
A similar call is being shown here in Leviticus, but it seems to be more.
Let me tell you what I think is happening here.
