Vision
Happy new Years Eve.
We are about to put 2017 in the annuals of history, and I want to challenge you this next year to be on the look out for new things.
Its hard to move forward when you are strapped to the past.
Its hard to look forward and look in the rear view mirror at the same time.
I don’t know what this next year may hold.
It may be filled with sweet blessing or tremendous heartache.
It may be like a roller coaster or like floating on the lazy river.
But whatever this year may bring, we know the One who brings the Year.
The one that has absolute control over time and circumstances
The Lord has been dealing with me about Vision.

If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time.
Whatever the year may bring this is my prayer, that we would not stay the same.
It is in human nature to have clear direction and focus.
Without them we are just floating aimlessly in life.
Bored and rolling around in sin.
Without vision, clear direction and a passionate purpose you will not live the super natural life that jesus wants and desires for you to live.
Jesus told the church at Laodicea, how he wished they were cold or hot, but because they were Luke Warm.
He would vomit them out of His mouth.
Proverbs 29:
Now how many times have you heard someone say, where there is no vision we just need to get a vision.
We need a leader to come in here and cast vision for us?
Well I actually like the ESV version of this scripture.
Where there is no Prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, or the people perish.
That is when there is no vision that come from God the people perish.
So its not just as easy as saying well we just got to get a plan together.
We just need to have some goals to meet, get the right people with the right types of charismatic personalities and then we will soar.
Listen psalms says unless the Lord Builds the house those who labor labor ion vain.
You need vision, not just any vision, you need prophetic vision.
You need a word from the lord.
because if you don’t notice what the outcome will be.
The people will cast off restraint.
The word restraint, or as the King james translates it the people perish....
It means to become wild or free from restraint, it speaks of a person whose life is spinning wildly out of control.
You will join the broken multitude out there that said, yeah I tried jesus, it really didn’t work out that well for me.
Listen what lies in wait for you apart from the love, grace and mercy of God wont exactly work out for you either.
When there is no vision you will find your thrills and spills elsewhere, When you no longer hear the voice of truth, you will give in to the voice of the lies.
You will begin to look at the circus around you, you will get duped by everyone's social media pics with the smiling faces, while the great majority are dieing inside.

Now lets get into our scripture for the day
Revelation
Now in this passage Jesus is speaking to a church that has grown comfortable and dull.
Though they had plenty of things they no longer were trusting the Lord Jesus for anything.
They were a church that had flawed appetites and deceptive desires.
They were a church that had lost their prophetic vision.
They had sank into the mire of comfort and ease.
I know that they had lost their prophetic vision because he counsels them to buy some items from Him and one of the items was salve for their eyes.
Now this is obviously hyperbole
Do you know who I worry about?
I am not worried about the drug addict or prostitute that are out and out sinners.
At least they know where they are before God.
The ones that I really worry about, are the ones that claim the name of Jesus but they never have any discipline from the Lord in their life.
There is never a grieving of the holy Spirit, there is never a breaking of their heart, or they are never able to bring themselves to forgive or ask for forgiveness about anything.
They can live self consumed and it never even bother them....
But when you ask them, Oh yes pastor I am saved.... Listen you heard it straight from the lips of the Lord?
those whom I love, I reprove and discipline.
reprove means to expose and convict… Discipline is the course of action that brings correction.
The word discipline means to train, to educate, to instruct.
If you are a child of God that doesn’t mean He wants you to stay childish.
Now if there is going to be prophetic Revelation in your life there are some things that you must do....
FIRST THERE MUST BE A CHANGE OF ATTITUDE TOWARDS GOD… We call this repentance
Revelation 3:
He says you don’t realize these things about yourself.
Its kind of like the story about the Emporerors New clothes. in the story some con men convince that they have a suite of clotehs that only the most educated people can see.
Well the Emporer into thinking he had a suite, He goes out into the streets and everyone is pretending to see the clothes until one little boy yells out the Emporor doesn’t have any clothes .
The operative word is repentance rather we are off 1 degree or 180 degrees.
You know you may not have any gross sin in your life, but I am sure you can always go deeper
Can I give you some of my devotional time as I am about to go to on another Quest called Fire, Dreams and Visions
Airplanes can fly “nose down without actually descending.
They can fly “nose up”
without actually climbing.
They can “side slip” – be turned sideways while flying straight ahead.
All of these situations require ATTITUDE adjustment or the plane will not function to its design
capabilities.
This is really no big deal unless you actually WANT the plane to fly to its design
capability.
In that case – you MUST make a correction.
This year I want to experience Christ in anew ways.
I want to experience god in a mighty way that I have never seen before.
Christians may all may enjoy God but they certainly don’t enjoy him the same.

The elementary doctrines-
Illustration- We were in Oklahoma this past week visiting family.
And during that time my son became ill. in fact He was running a fever of 102 and had the chills.
He was filling miserable and the Spirit of God moved me to go pray for him.
Can I tell you that praying for the sick is always something that I’ve had a problem with.
Just because early on when I was a young Christian I had a lot of spunk, A lot os zeal that I mis understood for faith and I tried praying for some people with those bold loud prayers and nothing happened.
