The activity of my heart should show in the actions of my hands.
Background of Leprosy.
Leprosy was a skin disease that was common in biblical times.
Even today, there are leper colonies in India and Japan.
The modern day form of leprosy is a painful disease where one become numb to pain and one’s skin rots, dies, and falls off.
People lose fingers and toes to it.
The disease described in the Bible as leprosy seems to be a little different than modern day, but still painful and dangerous.
It would show itself with white patches on the skin and was highly contagious.
You will recall Namaan and King Uzziah.
The most painful part was not the disease itself, but the way it completely disrupted life.
