Introduction
I thought we would begin by having a talk about what Revival really is all about.
The word in our English form means, an act or instance of reviving or the state of being revive, as a renewed attention to or interest in something in particular, a period of renewed religious interest , leading to an often highly emotional evangelistic meeting or series of meetings.
James A. Stewart, proposed, Revival is the people of God living in the power of an ungrieved, unquenched Spirit.
Howard Spring posited the kingdom of God is not going to advance by our churches becoming filled with men, but by men in our churches becoming filled with God.
C.H. Spurgeon remarked, a genuine revival without joy in the Lord is as impossible as spring without flowers, or day-dawn without light.
Andrew Murray said a true revival means nothing less than a revolution, casting out the spirit of worldliness, making God's love triumph in the heart.
D. Martin Lloyd-Jones Wrote a revival means days of heaven on earth.
Vance Havner observed that revival is the church falling in love with Jesus all over again.
So tonight, this is where I would like to begin, I am praying that through the power of God and the preached Word that this week we would fall in love with Jesus all over again!
Can you say Amen!
While I don't believe there is some formula that we can follow like a magic trick to “work-up” a revival, I do believe that there are patterns which we can examine to help us understand how to prepare ourselves to receive from the Lord a revival, to open our hearts and our lives in such a way that God is able to pour out revival at this time and in this place on these people a fresh anointing, new joy and renewed strength.
If you came here for revival tonight somebody shout glory!
In this particular text Deuteronomy 30th chapter 1-10 versus it has been revealed to me embedded in the word of God instructions, about what to do and what to expect at the time of revival.
In this particular passage, the Lord speaking to Israel through His servant Moses as they are coming into the land of promise, and He sees a time which Israel will turn away from Him and seeing that time of rebellion God makes a promise of Revival.
Now normally I don’t get excited about promises; but it all depends on who is making the promises.
I want you to know that when God make a promise He always keeps His promises!
Transition: I'd like to look at that promise with you tonight as we begin this quest to find a biblical pattern for revival.
Look at your neighbor and tell them “God is going to bring you out and bring you back, and that a Promise!
I The covenant

Moses reminds the Israelites of the Lord’s covenant with them and urges them to obey its laws so that they will not experience its curses.

Tragic flooding in Texas, wildfires in the West, E5 hurricanes March up the middle of our country.
Like soldiers on parade leaving a wake of devastation and destruction.
Flooding in places that have flooded in years, heat waves, unfair business practices leading to price manipulation, while the poor get poorer and the rich get richer.
Make no mistake about it, I'll nation and our world is under the judgment of God!
But I find courage in this one, thing, but God that we serve specializes in bringing dead things back to life!
So God basically is telling the Israelites through his servant Moses.
If you obey me and serve me I will bless you, and I will bless your children.
But If you don’t I will curse you and curse your children and all of the calamities will overtake you!
Moses had passionately urged the nation to obey the Lord and His commands, and had set the blessings and curses … before them in order to motivate them.
Yet he knew his fickle and stubborn people well enough to realize that their apostasy was inevitable and that the worst curses would come upon them—exile and dispersion among the nations.
However, even in the midst of this curse he foresaw God’s blessing.
For Israel would come to her senses; she would take God’s word to heart.

II The change
The blessing begins by Returning to God!

Moses tells the people that the Lord will change their hearts while they are in captivity, and they will love the Lord wholeheartedly.
The Lord will then gather them together once again and restore them to their land.
He will bless them and make them more prosperous than ever.
If all the sleeping folk will wake up—and all the lukewarm folk will fire up—and all the dishonest folk will confess up—and all the disgruntled folk will sweeten up—and the discouraged folk will look up—and all the estranged folk will make up—and all the gossipers will shut up—and all the dry bones will shake up—and all the true soldiers will stand up—and all the church members will pray up—then you will have a revival.

Political unrest with our leaders.
Corruption in our government, racism and injustice is running rampant in this great nation of ours.
Our children are being shot down in the streets with no regard for the sanctity of life.
Trey von Martin tragically is only one case of the senseless killing that's going on in our communities and have been going all for long time now!
When are we going to wake up and see what the Bible has been warning us about and turn back to God so that he can heal our land!

Come and give God a praise!
Wildfires in the West, E5 hurricanes March up the middle of our country.
Like soldiers on parade leaving a wake of devastation and destruction.
Flooding in places that have flooded in years, heat waves, unfair business practices leading to price manipulation, while the poor get poorer and the rich get richer.

Israel enjoyed the blessings for less than 1,000 years.
They entered Canaan about 1400 B.C., and Babylon conquered Israel about 587 B.C.
In addition, many times during this period Israel disobeyed God and was chastened.
For Israel would come to her senses; she would take God’s word to heart.[1]
1 And it shall come to pass…
God was looking down the line and He saw what the nation of Israel was going to do before they even did it.
You see Israel like the United States enjoyed the blessings of the Lord.
They entered Canaan about 1400 B.C., and Babylon conquered Israel about 587 B.C.
However, Israel like many of us disobeyed God and was chastened.
Heb
Isn’t this just like our God even when He has to punish us there is a promise to hold on to.
In our text; God promises to “turn the captivity” of Israel and restore the nation to the land.
But there were some things that Israel was going to have to do before God would move into action and begin the process of the divine turn-around…
Now I want you to see this: Revival always begins with God!
He is the loving shepherd who seeks after us, pursues us and watches over us, the sheep of His pasture.
He is the God who looks for us… The Lord has came to man in different ways.
He came to Adam in the cool of the evening.
He came to Abraham disguised as a stranger.
He came to Jacob Standing at the top of a ladder.
He came to Ezekiel as a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
He came to Isaiah high and lifted up.
He came to the three Hebrew boys as the fourth person in the midst of the fiery furnace.
He appeared to Moses as a burning bush; He appeared to Daniel as the Ancient of Days… He came to Joshua as the Captain of Lord’s Host; He came to Job out of the midst of a mighty whirl wind; and He also came to John the revelator as the First and the Last as He was dead and now is alive forever more…
All I am trying to say is that God sees me long before I see Him!
