That’s why Jesus pursues and saves and transforms and renames guys like Saul.

Extra surprise for Saul (besides the sight regained which was given in the vision per verse 12): he was to be filled with the Holy Spirit at this moment (v.17).
Saul was baptized- received his new identity in Christ.
Saul eats.
This is in the Scriptures for a reason.
Sometimes, we need some simple food to regain strength.
And he remained there in Damascus for some time.
Saul is given a new identity before he is given a new job.
Saul being chosen continues the church’s mission to bring the name of God and witness to his salvation through Jesus Christ.
Saul’s mission will be aimed internationally.
Before Saul is to minister to the world, he is to be ministered to by Ananias.
We are converted for a commission.
