“Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But for this purpose I have come to this hour. Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.” Jesus answered, “This voice has come for your sake, not mine. Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” He said this to show by what kind of death he was going to die. So the crowd answered him, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?” So Jesus said to them, “The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them.

“Good News” - εὐαγγελίζω, verb: to communicate good news concerning something (in the NT a particular reference to the gospel message about Jesus)—‘to tell the good news, to announce the gospel.’ ‘starting from this very passage of Scripture, he told him the good news about Jesus’ ; ‘I have been sent to speak to you and tell you this good news’ . In , however, the reference is to the birth of John the Baptist.
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. “Gospel” - εὐαγγέλιον, noun: (derivative of εὐαγγελίζω ‘to tell the good news,’) the content of good news (in the NT a reference to the gospel about Jesus)—‘the good news, the gospel.’ ‘for I am not ashamed of the gospel’ . In a number of languages the expression ‘the gospel’ or ‘the good news’ must be rendered by a phrase, for example, ‘news that makes one happy’ or ‘information that causes one joy’ or ‘words that bring smiles’ or ‘a message that causes the heart to be sweet.’
What are the specific events of the gospel Paul preached to the Corinthians which caused joy? What was of first importance? He died, correct? The other events: he was buried, he was raised from the dead, and he made appearances, true?

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
What is the content of the light of the gospel in verse 4? Is it not the glory of Christ? The radiant beauty of Christ?
1. Unbelievers (including the non-obedient so called-believers) have blinded minds.
2. They are blind to the beauty of Christ.
3. Believers hearts have the light of the knowledge (experience) of the beauty of God.
4. They are ‘all-in’ for Christ, ‘all-in’ for God.
5. No one is a victim of the god of this world.
