Jesus promised that he would be where there were two or three that were gathered in his name.
We have the privilege of creating the culture of this new community of faith. We come with the expectation that God will move in this place. We need no entertainment or be in the right mood for it. We need God’s presence, God’s salvation. We need a real reason to celebrate that God is here. But above all, the overflow of God’s presence will cause his Holy Spirit will cause in us to unleash the power to speak God’s word into their lives.

God is not looking for professionals but for courageous people of faith. Zachariah lost sight of the glory of the God he served even though the was in the middle of the very temple where God had promised to meet his people.
: 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
John walked with little expectations of God. He had weak faith. We are called to create a culture of great expectations in God! We serve the living God! Let us walk into God’s presence with Great expectations.
Zachariah was surprised
God’s word is alive: Take every word you receive with the same authority than Scriptures. Just like we read at the L3 team from Tozer’s book.

Gabriel is a little sassy. He reminds Zachariah that, Zachariah is a one time guest. Zachariah gets to be in God’s presence once in a lifetime. But Gabriel, he dwells and stands in the very presence of God. He makes it obvious to Zachariah that Zachariah has no clue of God’s plans because he has no ability to see God face to face, but Gabriel does.
God commands Zachariah to call his son “John” which means “God is gracious.”
“John” means “God is gracious,”
