Gods' plan has always been about momentum.

Define Momentum

Momentum means something has already started. Something is already moving.

My vision
Recently while I was sharing the vision of this church with a new friend. I said to him I was wondering how to implement it. He said something interesting... Pastor you have already begun... He said every tree starts with a seed.

Sources of Momentum

People are a source of momentum

By and emotional appeal
By encouraging
By challenging
By fear

Situations are a source of momentum

Economic Changes
Financial Changes
Physical Changes

God is a source of momentum

The Word of God
A Consistent Prayer Life
Read: Ephesians 2:1, 5 Colossians 2:13, 1 Peter 3:18
Ephesians 2:1 KJV 1900
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Ephesians 2:5 KJV 1900
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Colossians 2:13 KJV 1900
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
1 Peter 3:18 KJV 1900
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

We were dead, He made us alive

While we were dead, He connected us to Christ There we found life

Sin killed us, He made us alive, He forgave us first.

Christ suffered in our behalf. He brought us to God through his death. He made us alive by his Spirit.

Read Genesis 1:1
Genesis 1:1 KJV 1900
IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God is Creator.

God is an initiator.

It's just the beginning

Read: Philippians 1:6
Philippians 1:6 KJV 1900
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

We must maintain the momentum. We must capitalize on what the Lord has started. We must take our faith to the next level.

It is time to take ground.

The Starting Point

Read: 1 Corinthians 9:24
1 Corinthians 9:24 KJV 1900
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

It is said that races are won and lost at the starting point

Taking ground starts with an encounter

Exodus 3:5 KJV 1900
And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

Moses's encounter would change his life.

How we start is important.

Read: Hebrews 12:2
Hebrews 12:2 KJV 1900
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Just as Moses journey started with God, Our Journey must start with God

The Bible says that Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith.

An author

Writes the narrative - Beginning, Middle and Ending

Creates the story line

The author selects the characters, determine the plot and sets all of the circumstances.

The author knows the outcome.

Jesus is the finisher, the completer of our faith

He makes his work perfect in us.

Hebrews 11:40 KJV 1900
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Hebrews 5:9 KJV 1900
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Jesus is our destination, the finish line, the goal

Read Philippians 3:4
Philippians 3:14 KJV 1900
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
1 John 3:2 KJV 1900
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

The race has begun. The Starting gun has fired. We have left the mark

Now it is time to take ground.

We are children of the most High God.

We have been bought with a price.

We are not our own

Galatians 2:20 KJV 1900
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Until we know who we are we will never take ground

We will not know who we are until we know who He is.

Now it is time to take ground

We are in a race to the finish line

We have got a good start

We are on the right path.

God has started something

Read: Deuteronomy 11:24
Deuteronomy 11:24 KJV 1900
Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

Taking ground is not automatic. It was a vision of privilege, God allowed it. It was an unexpected part of the story. God gave the promise and Abraham provided the feet.

God has made some promises to us. Only those that's willing to step out of the stands, step into the starting blocks, and with every step keep moving toward the vision will have the privilege of taking Ground.

2017 can be a year of harvest if all of God's people begin to take ground.

We have been given a benefit of Taking Ground

Not everybody knows how to handle a benefit

A benefit is an opportunity

A benefit is a grace

A benefit is a that policy signed in Jesus blood naming you the beneficiary of his power.

He Give Power to us the power of Evangelism CompassionWorshipDiscipleship

God continues to want to use people that don't want to be used by him.

Romans 10:21 KJV 1900
But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
Revelation 3:20 KJV 1900
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
