Genesis 1:1, In the Beginning God Created the Heaven and the Earth.

Genesis 1:1 exalts God for all His grace and goodness. This is a praise to our eternal God. Man cannot compare to God.

The foundation of our faith is believing these first four words: In the beginning God. God existed before His creation. The Bible begins with God. God is the only authoritative account of creation. The Bible does not begin to prove God. The Bible begins with God. God is eternal. [Psalm 14:1: The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. Isaiah 43:10: Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me]. There is only one God--the everlasting God. God can give eternal life because He is eternal life.

God is separate from His creation. God was before His creation. How can you build from nothing? God can and did. When God speaks, something happens. God said; God called; and God made. Psalm 19:1:The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Mark 4:39: And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Romans 1:20: For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

[John 1:1-3: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made]. By faith in Christ brings the new birth. Only God has that power. Man’s life is void and darkness without Christ. God’s Word is our Light. He brings light to our life. Man is limited in time. God has His timetable. Romans 8:38-30: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
