What does a healthy church look like?

Why talk about this at all?

When we can rightly assume that most of those within a church are regenerated and that they are committed to the church, then the New Testament image of the church as a body and as a family can become a living, vital reality.
Dever, Mark. Nine Marks of a Healthy Church (4th Edition) (p. 298). Crossway. Kindle Edition.

The church is the body of Christ and, as such, is charged to carry out His work in the world.

Matthew 28:19–20 ESV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

A large church is not always a healthy church.

A small church is not always an unhealthy church.

Over the next 9 weeks we will take a look at these “Marks” of a healthy church.
