Colossians 3:16 - "A Proper Fill-up" .
I. Fill our heart.
- A. With the word of Christ.
- 1. Let it find a home in us.
- 2. Let it affect everything in our life. (Psalm 119:9-11).
- B. With gratitude . (Psalm 107:1; 118:1, 29; 136:1; Col. 2:6-7).
II. Fill our mouth.
- A. With songs for God. (Psalm 95:1-2).
- 1. God is the focus, not us .
- 2. The message is the focus, not the style .
- B. With words for others.
- 1. Teach each other. (II Tim. 2:2; I Pet. 3:15).
- 2. Admonish each other. (II Tim. 3:16-4:2; Acts 20:30-31).
- Goal: completeness . (Col. 1:27-28).
It all begins with our heart. (Prov. 4:23).
