Levi’s life is changed
Levi was a publican and sinner
He took from the Jews and gave to the Romans
He lived a life for himself and did not even care for his own people
The call of Jesus changed his life’s direction
He arose and followed Christ
A meeting with Jesus will bring you to a point of decision
Romans 2 all have sinned without the law
Pharisees remain in Self-Righteousness
Pharisees remain in Self-Righteousness
Pharisees were those who followed the law of Moses in every way
However, they were only rule followers, not God followers
They did not care about the people that they were leading
They were proud and self-righteous
They looked down on people not as good as they were
They judged Jesus not for being like them but being with them
1 John 1:8-10 Confess your sins, dont deceive yourselves
Jesus calls all sinners to repentence
Jesus calls all sinners to repentence
He did not come for those who think they are righteous of themselves
Only the sick need a doctor, only a sinner needs a savior
We must realize our own fallenness and not be deceived by our false righteousness
Following rules has not made us righteous but only proud
He calls, but will you answer?
Just as with Levi and with the Pharisees, the decision is with you
What will you do when you come in contact with Christ?
