Call to worship
Psalm 34:3–5 NKJV
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. 4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.
Giving
1 Corinthians 9:7 NKJV
7 Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?

Predatory Pastors

Matthew 7:15–20 NKJV
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
What does it say?
Matthew 7:15 NKJV
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
false prophets and Sheep’s Clothing is a comparison and contrast.
These predictors want to be seen as shepherds. they want to play on the peoples love for God for there own gain.
1 Timothy 6:5 NKJV
5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
1 Timothy 3:8 NKJV
8 Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money,
you might believe that I think preachers should not get paid. I do. I believe that a worker is worthy of his wage.
1 Corinthians 9:9 NKJV
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about?
Galatians 6:6 NKJV
6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
1 Timothy 5:17–18 NKJV
17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. 18 For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”
1 Corinthians 9:6–9 NKJV
6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working? 7 Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock? 8 Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about?
yes, I believe that pastors should get paid.
but I don’t think we should make promises based on offering. 1000 percent return and so on.
Matthew 7:16 NKJV
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
what do these people preach on?
you can look on the total arc of a persons teaching and life and see what they are looking for?
what am i Looking for? i’m so glad that you asked!
Once you are saved, I want to see a life time of running from life on life's terms.
I am looking to see families restored!
lives rebuilt.
chains destroyed never to return again.
Matthew 7:17–20 NKJV
17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Again the total arc of someones lives.
Jesus tells us in verse 20.

1 Love the Word of God and the God of the Word more than you love the pastors and bible teacher.

Acts 17:10–12 NKJV
10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.
receive the word with an attitude of readiness.
then study the sermons you have heard.

2 Make a commitment to the relationships in the local body.

Hebrews 10:24–25 NKJV
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

3 We should examine our own lives, and receive rebukes from others.

Galatians 6:4 NKJV
4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
