WHAT IN YOUR LIFE ARE YOU ASKING GOD TO GIVE YOU BEFORE IT’S TIME?
LUKE 15:12-14 The younger of them [inappropriately] said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the property that falls to me.’ So he divided the estate between them.
13 A few days later, the younger son gathered together everything [that he had] and traveled to a distant country, and there he wasted his fortune in reckless and immoral living.
14 Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to do without and be in need.
15 So he went and forced himself on one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to [a]feed pigs.
DANGERS OF NOT WAITING:
1. NOT PREPARED FOR FAMINE
2. LACK OF DISCIPLINE
DISCIPLINE - INCREMENTAL SACRIFICES THAT COMPOUND OVER TIME FOR A GREATER REWARD
“GIVE IT TO ME NOW WANTS THE REWARD WITHOUT THE INCREMENTAL SACRIFICES”
LONGTERM DAMAGE OF “GIVE IT TO ME NOW” CULTURE
HYPERTENSION - STRESS OBESITY - FAST FOOD PROCRASTINATION - LACK DISCIPLINE TO DO THE WORK IN STAGES ALCOHOLISM - LACK DISCIPLINE OF MODERATION VIOLENCE - INTOLERANCE POOR JUDGMENT - HURRY UP FINANCIAL STRUGGLES - CREDIT CARD DEBT RELATIONSHIP WOES - SELF SERVING
LEARNING TO WAIT:
THE RIGHT THING AT THE WRONG TIME IS THE WRONG THING
WHY SHOULD YOU WAIT? The right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing (Marriage, Success, Sex, Freedom)
THE FRUIT OF PATIENCE IS CHARACTER
ROMANS 5:4 4 And patience produces character, and character produces hope.
UNDERDEVELOPED CHARACTER IIN THE PERSON CREATES UNDERDEVELOPMENT IN THE COMMUNITY
YOUR PROMISE HAS A TIME

Luke 15:17-20 Amp
17 But when he [finally] came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough food, while I am dying here of hunger!
18 I will get up and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.
19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; [just] treat me like one of your hired men.”’
20 So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.
Philippians 4: 10-13 Amp
10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord, that now at last you have renewed your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned about me before, but you had no opportunity to show it.
11 Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances.
12 I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need.
13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.

- where in life are you settling for a portion when God wants you to have fullness.
The Fathers heart is restoration.
How long does it take to build a Rolls Royce vs Toyota?
It takes about 18 hours to make a Toyota, a couple days to make a Mercedes Benz, and 6 months to make a Rolls Royce. The difference between a Toyota and a Rolls Royce is that most cars are made using industrial robots whereas the Rolls Royce is still made by hand!
