God is worthy to be served

2 Corinthians 5:11

31 अनि जब इस्राएलले जुन महान् काम परमप्रभुले मिस्रीहरूमाथि गर्नुभयो, त्यो देख्यो, तब मानिसहरूले परमप्रभुको डर माने, अनि परमप्रभु र उहाँको दास मोशामाथि विश्‍वास गरे ।

1 “अब ती आज्ञाहरू, विधिहरू र नियमहरू यी नै हुन्, जो तिमीहरूलाई सिकाउनू भनी परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्‍वरले आज्ञा गर्नुभएको छ, यस उद्देश्यले कि तिमीहरूले तिनलाई त्यस देशमा पालन गर्न सक, जहाँ तिमीहरू त्यसलाई आफ्नो अधिकारमा लिन पारि गइरहेछौ, 2 र मैले तिमीलाई आज्ञा गरेका उहाँका सबै विधिहरू र उहाँका आज्ञाहरू पालन गर्नलाई तिमीले आफ्नो सारा जीवनभरि परमप्रभु तिम्रा परमेश्‍वरको डर मान्‍न सक – तिमीले, तिम्रा छोराछोरी र तिम्रा नातिनातिनीले; फलस्वरूप तिम्रो आयु लामो होस् ।

The Fear of the Lord compels us to evangelism

Fear comes from his holiness/righteousness

An understanding of God’s holiness will propel us to evangelism

Spending time with my wife teaches me what she is like- So spending time with God teaches me what he is like

Our motivation in evangelism will not be greater than our knowledge of God’s holiness - हामी परमेश्वरको पवित्रता र महानता जति जान्छौ र बुझ्छौं त्यतीभन्दा हाम्रो सुसमाचार सुनाउने उत्प्रेरण ठूलो हुँदैन

We persuade men for God’s sake

We are building God’s kingdom, not a kingdom of our own

This is seen before God

Paul knew he was serving God

We draw men but only in the service of God

Not to be seen by men

Not for our own profit

Not for our own prestige

We do not glory in appearances but in heart/intentions

We do not serve men but God
