Avoiding "Spiritual Drunkenness"

The Gospel According to Isaiah  •  Sermon  •  Submitted   •  Presented   •  1:19:47

Due to its association with controversial cult figure Jim Jones in the 70s, the figure of speech "drinking the Kool-Aid" is used to refer to fully committing to a radical or dangerous idea. In Isaiah, and a few other OT passages, this is strikingly illustrated by drunkenness; an apt comparison as it accurately describes what accepting a false idea can do to a person. The good news: there is a remedy, as we learn in this expository message from Isa. 28:1-29; sermon begins at about 21:30.
