Walk in Genuine Fellowship (1-6)

Genuine faith is evidenced by How you treat others.
You attitude towards others is to be characterized by love.
Show hospitality to strangers. During Biblical times people traveled from place to place, but there was often not good lodging. Hospitality was displayed by the willingness to provide lodging for those in need. philoxenia is a brotherly love toward someone you do not know yet.
Give care to those who are hurting and in prison for their witness.
This was done throughout the early church. From the time Peter and John were imprisoned for preaching to Paul and Silas. Even Timothy - Heb 13:23
Hebrews 13:23 ESV
23 You should know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I shall see you if he comes soon.
Genuine faith is displayed by Honor for marriage.
Honor through how the husband and wife treat each other.
God’s intent is for marriage to be a picture of the relationship between Christ and the church. Husbands are to love as Christ loved. Wives are to honor and respect their husband.
Honor through maintaining sexual purity.
Our culture has taken what God intends to be highly value in the bonds of marriage and made it of no value through promisquity.
God will bring judgement on those who practise sexual sin.
In their own bodies in the present. - Romans 1:26-27
In the eternal judgment of the future. - 1 Cor. 6:9-11 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
Genuine faith is displayed by Hope in God.
When your hope is in the Lord you have no need of worry over money.
1 Timothy 6:10 ESV
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
Philippians 4:11–13 ESV
11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Serve the Lord in how you treat your neighbor, your spouse, and your money!
