Pursue Peace and Sanctification!

You are Called to Sanctification because of:

The Consequences of Falling Short

To fall short means to not finish the race. God will enable you, don’t give up!
We are first directed to look back at an example.
A bitter root will spread and cause trouble with many believers. Grumbling, gossip, bitterness and unforgiveness in the body of Christ will cause trouble.
Two characteristics of Esau - he was immoral and godless - willing to sell his blessing for a single meal. He could not recover the blessing.
Three attitudes and actions that will cause you to miss your blessing: bitterness, immorality (valuing momentary pleasure over enduring blessings), godless living.

You Have Received the Greater Covenant

Look Up!
The Old Covenant showed the glory of God and His perfect righteousness. It required separation.
The New Covenant reveals the grace of God and how He perfects sinners. It brings us near.
You have come to a greater mountain, a celestial city, an angelic host, a better citizenship.
You have come to God Himself you makes you perfect!
You have come to Christ, by the power of His blood! Abel’s blood cried out for justice. Jesus’ blood cries out justified!!!

You Have Inherited Coming Kingdom

Look Forward!
The things of this earth will be shaken and ultimately fall.
You have inherited a Kingdom that cannot be shaken that will remain.
Run your race with gratitude, reverence and fear!
Look forward! The best is yet to come!
