Marriage proposals have taken many different forms and have even been radical and somewhat dangerous. Whilst, Ruth's proposal to Boaz was not life-threatening, it was no less risky for the time. Under God's providence, however, the proposal goes well and Boaz responds well. However, there is another obstacle in place which Boaz will have to overcome in order to secure Ruth and the legacy of the name of her dead husband.
