Sermon in a sentence: God brought Ruth from her famine to a field of harvest.

Ruth’s Actions (vs. 1-7, 17-18)

Ruth has been brought out of the famine of Moab and into Bethlehem (the house of bread in God’s country)
Ruth takes action and follows God’s commands. (Leviticus 19:9-10)
Men- be strong Godly men with a family and provide for them (1 Timothy 5:8)
Women- be Godly women that will submit to God’s law and provide for you family

Boaz’s Command (vs. 8-9, 16)

Boaz commands his people to provide for this widow and orphan (James 1:27)
Boaz provides protection and provision.

God’s Remembrance (vs. 12-13,20)

Noami wanted to change her name to Mara because she thought the Lord wanted to crush her.
Ruth must have felt all alone in this world.
God remembered his people for his name sake! (Psalm 23:3, Ezekiel 36:22-23)
