Brian Rotary Inauguration
Most of you know your incoming downtown Rotary president as Dr. Tschirhart. But for some of us in this room, we know him as a loving husband, a servant hearted father, a generous father-in-law, and an outstanding and present papa.
Dr. Tschirhart’s character in every venue of his life models the very mission of Rotary Club, which states:
We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, we and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
Dr. Tschirhart embodies Rotary’s mission. Whether in his organizational leadership at Rotary or in his leadership over his family, Dr. Tschirhart consistently seeks to serve others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace.
The source of these behaviors, however, derive from the ripe fruits of God’s Spirit alive in him. These fruits provide the foundation for his character and integrity in leadership. They consist of: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.
As we invite God’s blessing and presence into our time together tonight and over Brian as Downtown Rotary’s next president, I want to specifically pray for the fruits of God’s Spirit alive in Brian to guide the way in his leadership toward the mission of Rotary this next year and for these virtues to mark the Downtown Rotary community.

Lord, we invite your presence and peace into this special time of celebration this evening.
Lord, we offer our gratitude for the life and leadership of Dr. Brian Tschirhart. May you bless him as Downtown Rotary’s incoming president.
Lord, give him clear vision and wisdom for how to lead Downtown Rotary to make the greatest impact for Miami and those in its care of influence.
Lord, we ask for the virtues of your good fruits to guide Dr. Tschirhart and mark this Rotary community. Lead this club to faithfully steward their leadership influence for the good of helping others.
As a God of peace, order, and unity, help this club guard against anything or anyone that threatens to divide or harm their mission.
Protect Dr. Tschirhart and the other committee leaders to keep the main mission central in their decision making and collaboration.
Lord, as Dr. Tschirhart seeks to fulfill his leadership mandate to steward the Downtown Rotary, may you bless and prosper this club to help our city and those around the world flourish from Rotary’s mission.
Lord, this mission is critical, and we need your help to see it become a reality.
In your name we make our prayer…
As I close, I’d like to speak this ancient blessing upon Dr. Tschirhart:
“‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.’”
