Went to who they knew

Start with natural connections

Presented the message in a meaningful way

A great number believed

--

Opposition came - poisoned others' minds

The Gospel created a reaction

Toward or away

Softening or hardening

--

So the missionaries stayed

For a long time

Speaking boldly for the Lord

The Lord bore witness to His word

Granted signs and wonders

--

The people were divided in opinion

Jesus warned us about this

Lk. 12:51-52 Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three.

--

Then opposition moves to persecution

Both Jews and Gentiles

With their rulers

Wanted to physically abuse and then kill the Apostles

--

The Apostles moved on to the next places

Acts 14:7 and there they continued to preach the gospel.

--

Call to action:

Have you truly believed God's message?

What is God telling you this morning through this passage of scripture?

What is it you need to do?
