God is our Provider

Me:

Blessings

a. Kind of like a prayer

i. To ask God to bestow divine favor on you

ii. I want God to bless me

iii. I want God to bless you.

We:

2. All kinds of blessings

Too blessed to be stressed

i. It’s nothing new that life is hard

ii. You are probably going through something now.

iii. Jesus told the disciples life would be tough

b. If we focus on the blessings and not the stress

i. There is a lot to stress about

ii. Money, work, the economy, family responsibility, relationships, health, etc

iii. Just read the headlines and you can see

c. The bible says a lot about blessings

i. Ephesians 1:3 (NLT) — 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

We can be too blessed to be stressed.

Eternal blessings

i. It’s the deliverance from the struggling and suffering of this sinful world.

ii. It is the gift of eternal.

iii. The gift of living gloriously conformed to the image of His dear Son, Jesus Christ.

that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Material blessings

Matthew 6:31–34 NIV

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

ii. We seek after the wrong thing first.

Everything Happens for a Reason

i. Life will throw you a curve ball

ii. However, when one door closes that gives opportunities for another to open

Everything Has Value

i. God never waste anything

ii. Growth happens in our stress if focused correctly

Keep Things in Perspective

i. When compared to eternity everything changes

ii. God is preparing you for eternity

iii. Your struggle here is only temporary

iv. If you are serving the Lord

Look at your blessings

i. Name them one by one

ii. Count your many blessings see what God has done

iii. If will take care of the sparrow…
