Confident in Him

We have been given by God the ability by his grace to build our lives a firm foundation for victory
1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV)
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Your victory has been secured in Christ and based upon your faith in him you have overcome
1 John 5:1 NLT
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.
1 John 5:4–5 NLT
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
we have been given Overcoming faith
Our Father in heaven designed your faith to defeat the enemy
No matter what is happening around you
No matter what is coming against you God has given you everything that you need to live an overcoming, victorious life
You have been given faith to overcome all things It is not faith that comes by observing the circumstances Faith does not examine the possibility and then determine Do I believe.
It is is faith born from the Spirit of God It is faith quickened to you through the power of abiding in the word
A victorious overcoming life is not automatic. It is a result of your commitment to build a firm foundation
Five ingredients that are necessary for and are the foundation for victory
1. Committed to the Word
2. Committed to prayer
3. Committed to seek God
4. Committed to praise & thanksgiving unto God
5. Committed to stand
We have been brought into a place in the divine purpose of God where we are able to completely surrender to his Word allowing it the ability to transform our lives and lift us up to a place where his Glory fills our every step
Your commitment to these things births within your heart confidence
Confidence
Confidence -the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust.
An assurance of mind or firm belief in the integrity, stability or veracity of another, or in the truth and reality of a fact.
the state of feeling certain about the truth of something.
a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities.
So there are two areas where we must have absolute confidence.
1. Confident in God 2. Confident in yourself
We know that we can be confident in God because we understand who he is
Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV
“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;
Who is your God?
Our God is God
He is the faithful God
He Keeps his covenant
He keeps his mercy
We have a covenant with God
He is the all powerful God with whom nothing is to hard
Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV
‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
This is your confidence in God - Faithful to his Children he has the power and the desire to move mightily in your behalf
Confident in who you are in Him
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Ephesians 4:24 NKJV
and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
You are righteous and you are holy
1 Corinthians 1:30 NKJV
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—
Now in His righteousness and his holiness we are justified and we have peace
Romans 5:1 NKJV
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 3:12 NKJV
in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
The Greek form used here depicts absolute confidence — that is, one who is doubly persuaded. You could say that this person is convinced to the core — rock-solid certain about what he believes or feels. He is so completely persuaded and trustful of what he believes that no element of doubt remains.
In understanding that Jesus has made us righteous we receive a boldness to come to God knowing that we have been given complete access to the Father, confident that he will never turn us away
Hebrews 4:14–16 AMP
Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]. For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
fearlessly, confidently, boldly
1 John 3:21–22 NKJV
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
My heart does not condemn me. I have confidence toward God and whatever I ask I receive of Him because I keep his commandments and I do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1 John 5:14–15 AMP
And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.
Psalm 27:1–6 NKJV
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
Psalm 27:13–14 NKJV
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
