Genesis 1:1

Genesis 1:1 NASB95
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Blasphemy

“In general the word means simply slander or insult and includes any action (e.g., a gesture) as well as any word that devalues another person or being, living or dead. This general secular idea was made more specific in religious contexts, where blasphemy means to insult, mock, or doubt the power of a god.” - Evangelical Dictionary of Theology

Beginning/Bereshit

Starting point of time, limited in scope and sequence, involves a preexisting being

John 1:1–5 NASB95
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Prophecy of:

The Son coming to earth, sacrificial lamb, returning to Heaven, coming again.

Elohim

Pluralistic Majesty.

Is not personal but positional.

Etymology, the study of words and the origins thereof, although the origin is uncertain it seems to indicate Canaanite and Akkadian in essence.

Bara/Banah

Bara - To create (a verb), an action by which Elohim is the subject or the creator (Personal/Bounded/Limited) of: (Genesis 1:1) Supernatural

Banah - To build or engineer. Subject could be Elohim, could also be the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost (separated from Elohim), Man, Woman, Satan, etc.. (Genesis 2:22)

Heavens/Samayim

Pluralistic -

Religious:

Spiritual dwellings - (Heaven and Hell),

Spiritual beings - (Angels: Seraphim, Cherubim, and Fallen)

Cosmological:

Sky and Space

A vastness of space

Earth/Eres

Land and Ground

Singular

Conclusion

We serve the God who is present, powerful, purposeful, and personal. This God is found only in the Bible, a book which He authored for you and I to know Him, His plan, His purpose, to glorify Him and to make Him known with the lifestyle we have chosen to live.
