Good morning, friends, we’re so glad you have tuned in to hear God’s Precepts and Promises this morning brought to you by the Rome Church of Christ.
We’re examining Christianity systematically--taking all the Bible has to say on a subject and putting it together as best as possible.
Letting the Bible speak
Begin today examining the Bible’s doctrine regarding the church. Start this study by examining Acts 2.

Q: When baptism by sprinkling begin?
A: The practice of sprinkling water instead of immersing one into water when an individual was too sick to be immersed. It was originally called Clinical Baptism. A 3rd century man by the name of Novatian is said to be the first to have water sprinkled on him in lieu of immersion or pouring, which was already in practice by the 2nd century. Sprinkling did not become common until the 1300s when it was approved at the council of Ravenna.
