“Now if your brother sins against you, go correct him between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take with you in addition one or two others, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses to listen to the church also, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
the Bible is clear on discipline and accountability
and Philemon has a big decision to make.

corporate prayer and praise builds up those involved
our difficulties, and our hard times are eased when we pray together
through corporate prayers we all with one mind bring our petitions to the throne of the Almighty
James 5 13.
our heart and mind are refocused on the almighty
we are called to bear one another burdens

Paul wants prayer for his release
Paul is relying on it to happen through their prayers

for I know that this will turn out to me for deliverance through your prayer and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Epaphras, who is one of you, greets you, a slave of Christ always struggling on behalf of you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. For I testify to him that he is working hard on behalf of you and those in Laodicea and those in Hierapolis.
prayer is a struggle, and hard work

here in V 22 Paul wants the corporate prayer
not just the prayer of Philemon
and prepare the guest room
I don’t know how our prayers and Gods sovereign will coincide
but it does
the more time we spend in praise and prayer
the more God is glorified,
the more our faith is built up,
the more is done for the cause of Christ
