Ye are the Light
1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Blessed = Happiness that goes deep into the Spirit and Soul
Happiness for the world is surface happiness, business, the superficial happenstances
We can have wrong pursuits
It is never too late to start living the blessed life

1 Blessed is the man That walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; And in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and a sound mind
We must expect to be persecuted, if we hold up the pure light of a consistent life amid the evils of the world. Men hate the light which exposes their misdeeds. They will tolerate you only so long as you leave them alone. But the universal testimony of those who have suffered thus is that the Son of man walks through the furnace beside His faithful martyrs.
Our holy lives ought to act as salt to arrest the corruption around us.
It is said that the presence of a child has arrested many a crime. A sudden silence should fall on certain kinds of conversation when we enter the room. But it is very easy to lose our saltness, as did Lot in Sodom and the seven churches of Asia. See also Eze 15:2-5. Our lives ought to serve also as light.
The spirit of man is a candle. See Pro 20:27.
We need to be kindled by the nature of God.
Men light candles and God will light you.
Let us burn and shine as John did, Joh 5:35. Beware of the bushel and ask God to choose your stand.
Saved - Saying yes to Jesus as your Saviour
The Spirit comes
Shall receive power
Shall be a witness
God created you to be a witness
God left you to be a witness so others can know how to be God’s child
How can we be the best witness
Yes you have responsibilities
Yes you have a Job - but while we’re here we are created to be witnesses
We must be willing to be influence others for Christ
We must care what people see
A display of the Gospel in our life
I’m not talking just lifestyle evangelism
I’m talking about looking, acting, walking, talking like a Christian
II Corinthians 3:2
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
People are reading you - you should care about how you live
2Co 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
The world needs you to be read
The world needs to read Jesus in you
Don’t we want others to see and hear the Gospel through us

We are a miracle
Luk 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

We need to pray that we would demonstrate the miracle that happened in us at salvation

When was the last time you looked in someone’s eye and said I care about you, let me share the greatest news in all eternity
The saddest thing is that someone will go to Hell
God is working in peoples lives right now
How long will it be before you share the Gospel again

We must Enter Into This Work in Prayer
No-one can say they understand everything there is to know about our Sovereign God
He has invited us to take part in His Kingdom and the work that He wants to do in the lives of others
Num 11:22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
Num 11:23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
We must live it
We must tell it
We must pray about it
We must Go with God’s blessing and power
We are not salesmen
WE are ambassadors
Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Are you with God in His kingdom Work
Pray that God would convict of Sin
Sharing the gospel, living the life, bathing in believing prayer
What are you attempting to do for God that you are not bathing in believing prayer
Anything we are not bathing in believing prayer we are attempting to do in our own power
Could we pray that one person would accept Christ a week

Mat 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Mat 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
You have people around you that are not saved
Your cosmos
Your world
Your world must hear so that those in my world can hear
God’s plan is for all of us to be saturating our worlds with the Gospel
Psa 72:17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
Psa 72:18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
Psa 72:19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

I want the whole earth to be filled with God’s glory
Our prayers are vain if we are not sharing the Gospel in our world
We must be willing to extend the glory of God through the Gospel
Joh 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Joh 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
The world is ready for the Gospel
Pray ye the lord of the harvest
Lord help us to reach a great harvest of souls
Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Will we be there?
Rev 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
