The Word Of God

Acts 20:32

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say?

Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance?

Acts 20:32 (AMP)

32 And now [brethren], I commit you to God [I deposit you in His charge, entrusting you to His protection and care].

And I commend you to the Word of His grace [to the commands and counsels and promises of His unmerited favor].

It is able to build you up and to give you [your rightful] inheritance among all God’s set-apart ones (those consecrated, purified, and transformed of soul).

21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

WHAT IS THE WORD OF GOD

“The Bible is God’s voice speaking to us, just as surely as though we could hear it with our ears.

If we realized this, with what awe would we open God’s word, and with what earnestness would we search its precepts!

The reading and contemplation of the Scriptures would be regarded as an audience with the Infinite One.”

he Word of God is the master key of life.

It is able to open or lock any door

The Word of God is the breath of life brought to us to breath life into our being

29Is not my word like as a fire?

saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

The Word of truth if the power of God that liberates every believer who believes in the word of God

The knowledge is our remedy for life’s ills and challenges.

we cannot overcome life without truth of God’s truth.

Revelation 12:11 (KJV 1900)

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

a reality that is firm, solid, binding, and hence true.

With reference to persons it characterizes their action, speech, or thought, and suggests integrity

The gospel is the word of truth

5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 

6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

The word of God is the corner stone of life; especially the supernatural life

THE ODACITY OF THE WORD

The word of God (logos) is the supernatural creative power of God.

It is the creative force of God which has brought everything into being.

The power of God’s immanence

Knowledge of Truth

Penetration of Light in our inner being

Enlightening of our understanding

Ascendancy of our spirit into the reals of glory

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
