A KINGDOM OF POWER MAY 29, 2022 A Kingdom of Power • The Kingdom is built on the Rock of Christ • Matthew 7:24; 26 (NIV) — 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock • 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand • Where Jesus Christ Comes To Minister His Kingdom -Lives And Situations Are Changed By His Miracle Power A Kingdom of Power • Matthew Presents The Evidence: Jesus Is The Messiah – King  He Is The Promised One --Told Of By The Prophets  He Would Prove This By His Power • Isaiah 35:5–6 (NIV) — 5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. 6 Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. • He Is A King Of Absolute Power And Authority In The Physical And Spiritual Realms. He Has Power Over Sickness, Disease, Nature, Death And Demons A Kingdom of Power • Matthew 8:1–4 (NIV) — 1 When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2 A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” 3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cured of his leprosy. 4 Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” • Kingdom Key #1 : Jesus Heals • The Key To Christ’s Healing Power Is: Faith A Kingdom of Power Healing Requires 2 Things: •God’s Healing Power •Activated Faith Matthew 9:29 (NIV) — 29 “According to your faith will it be done to you” A Kingdom of Power How Jesus Administered Healing  He Taught In The Synagogues  He Preached The Good News Of The Kingdom  He Healed Their Sickness And Disease • Matthew 4:23 (NIV) — 23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. A Kingdom of Power • Jesus The Healer Can Touch Those Whom Society Has Left Behind • Jesus Touched Those Who No One Else Would Touch • The Healing Power Of Jesus Is For Everyone! A Kingdom of Power •Leprosy Was Viewed As A Judgment From God •A Leprous Life Was A Horrible Life Of Separation And Shame • Jesus Stopped and Listened To Him •Jesus Is Willing  He Reached Out His Hand  He Touched The Man  The Leprosy Vanished Immediately A Kingdom of Power • Matthew 8:5–8 (NIV) — 5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed and in terrible suffering.” 7 Jesus said to him, “I will go and heal him.” 8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed • 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that very hour. • The King Has All Authority Regarding Kingdom Access, Admittance, And Power • The King Has All The Authority Regarding Who Is Going To Be In His Kingdom And Who Is Going To Experience His Kingdom Power A Kingdom of Power • Christ Is The King With All Authority And Power • He Holds All Power To Do Anything And Everything To Bring Things Into Order According To His Will And Plan • Whatever He Declares -- Comes To Be • Whatever He Creates -- Transpires • Whatever He Removes -- Ceases To Be • Kingdom Authority And Power Is Available When We Place Our Faith In The King Who Has The Power A Kingdom of Power • A KEY TO RECEIVING IN THE KINGDOM IS ASKING IN FAITH • Matthew 7:7–11 (NIV) — 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! A Kingdom of Power  The Plan: You Ask The Lord  Ask And You Will Receive  Ask Because Your Father Gives Good Gifts  To See God's Move We Have To Ask  James Adds We Must Ask Without Doubting A Kingdom of Power •A-B-C TO RECEIVE  Ask In Faith  Believe In Christ  Confess With Faith And Expectation •Then Receive The Lord's Miracle, Touch, Provision, Healing A Kingdom of Power •ALL IT TAKES IS ONE TOUCH TO BE HEALED •Matthew 8:14–15 (NIV) — 14 When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15 He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him. •He Touched Her Hand The Fever Was Immediately Gone •Her Healing Was Instant And Complete •Just One Touch Of The King Everything Can Be Changed A Kingdom of Power • That The Kingdom Is A Baggage Free Zone – Lay Your Burdens Down • Matthew 8:16–17 (NIV) — 16 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.” • He Knows What To Do With The Burdened -- He Gives Them Freedom – Liberty – And Deliverance A Kingdom of Power •When We Pray --We Pray In His Name  His Name Is Who He Is  His Name Declares His Greatness And Glory  When We Pray In His Name We Are Connected To The Person Of Jesus Christ A Kingdom of Power •In The Name Of The Lord We Operate In His Victory… & Authority •In His Name Bondage & Burden Must Go – His Victory Is Transferred To Us • Isaiah 53:4 (NIV) — 4 Surely, he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. • (1 Pet 2:24 NIV) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. A Kingdom of Power Jesus Christ – Our King- Won The Victory Over Sickness And Disease – For Us -- So We Might Be Delivered From Its Power A Kingdom of Power WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF CHRIST’S POWER? •Christ’s Power Takes Away Sin (1 Jn 3:5). •Christ’s Power Delivers From The Devil’s Bondage (1 Jn 3:8) •Christ’s Power Transforms Us Into His Image (1 Jn 3:1, 2)
