John 1:1-2 In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the Beginning.” ESV

Introduction

John 1:1-2 has got to be the Main Big Idea in the Johannine writing’s-No, in-fact, let me re-state this intro! John 1:1-2 is the Main Big Idea of the whole N.T. as is Gen 1:1 is the Main Big Idea of the O.T. This is God’s Intro!
I can also say it like this,”Both Genesis 1:1 & John 1:1-2 are equity the Main Big Idea of the whole Bible all 66 books O.T & N.T.
What a way to begin a series of books. I mean, Genesis 1:1 kicks off with the very beginning of Creation! Johannine books kicks off with John 1:1-2 also cementing the Fact that Jesus was in the beginning with God during creation and in-fact Jesus was God who was in the beginning WOW! Also, maybe John 1:1-2 is in-fact the go to books in understanding the end of Creation!
These days 2022+ it’s hard to pretend everything is normal or back to normal after the beginning of 2020
This study is a look at the Apostle John’s life and relationship with Jesus and does any of their relationship shed light on better understanding our Times?
Our Times, like never before has made good bad and bad good Isa 5:20 Maybe the very reason God came down and divided the nations and languages because there was no telling the evil man could do if joining together knowledge-Hum,”The Internet?” Gen 11:1-3 Could learning more about --Why, at the very least, 4 times,”the disciple Jesus loved.” John 13:23-26, 20:2, 21:20, 7 could this help us but understand our times? John seemed to of been favored by Jesus, even to the point of other disciples being, lets say, hurt by it----example, Peter John 21:21-23
John 21:21–23 NASB95PARA
So Peter seeing him said to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!” Therefore this saying went out among the brethren that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”
This study will look into why? What made the Apostle John seem more special? Can we learn more about God’s favor on his life, maybe a bit more than the lives of the other disciple, or should I say equity, but in a more Eschatological way?
Lastly, one thing I am beginning to realize, is that sometimes it’s OK to check out other peoples take of what they believe the word is saying or their historical searching that sometimes have nothing to do with the living Word of God, but instead become like reading a worldly book of fiction or documentary, which is fine if your able to separate both the Word of God and that Worldly portion of knowledge-however, for me anyway, I begin to loss that special bond between me and the Word as I at times get carried away with the search and then that discerning spirit in me starts to get detached from the rich awesome working of the Holy Spirit who promised to let me know something -all I need to do is ask! I wonder if really all we need is the Bible for all our answers and stop all the researching, but instead, let the Bible answer the bible using scripture with scripture!
Anyway, I did go through the bible and many other books to try and under stand better who John was---Here’s some worldly/Biblical searching I did to lay a ground work of getting to know John better from some of the worldly info on him.

Johannine Literature

What is it?
Johannine Literature groups all of the books that John has written or apart of?
Gospel of John [ancient biography]
John One [Sermon]
John Two [Letter]
John Three [Letter]
The Book of revelation [Apocalyptic Prophecy]
Apostle John
Son to a fisherman, father Zebedee
John had a brother, James
Both James and John worked for their father as fisherman
Place of employment, Sea of Galilee [a warm lake, about 7 miles wide and 13 miles long and about 685 feet below sea level-making this lake the lowest fresh water lake on earth]
John, likely the younger brother of James
Jesus tells John from the Cross, Mary is your mother who was with her sister Mary wife of Clopas John 19:25-27
John then took Mary into his home [this answers where John went after the cross] note, Mary’s husband Joseph passed on, but she had some sons and daughters born after Jesus birth, but weren’t at the Crucifixion. [I suspect they didn’t believe Jesus or able to except him as Lord, noting they all or some were ashamed of him being crucified] Jesus did say,”a prophet isn’t excepted in his home town.” Matt 13:57, Mk 6:4, Lk 4:24, Jn 4:44 then in John 7:3-5 shows how unsympathetic his brothers were toward Jesus Ministry even asking him to go else where—this may explain why they weren’t at the Crucifixion
How did Apostle John died?
One theory is he died a martyr’s death near end of first century Acts 12:1-2 James died at the hands of Herod Agrippa by sword. John on the other hand-the bible doesn't say?
