*Fast Facts:*
1.       His Name means “drawn out” for Pharaoh’s daughter drew him out of the water (Ex.
2:10)
2.       His name is mentioned 767 times in the Old Testament and 79 times in the New Testament.

He was born in Egypt under a death order for all male children.
Unable to hide him any longer, Moses’ mother put him in a basket and sent him floating in the Nile.
4.       Pharaoh’s daughter found him while she was bathing along the water’s edge and decided to keep and raise him as her son.

He was nursed by his own mother and spent the first few years of his life with her.

He was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians until he was forty years old (Acts 7:22).

He killed an Egyptian and buried him in the sand after he found him beating a fellow Hebrew (Ex.
2:11-12).
When the deed was discovered he fled to Midian (Ex.
2:15).

He spent forty years in Midian as a shepherd until God spoke to him from a burning bush on Mt.
Sinai and commissioned him to lead His people out of Egypt (Ex.
3).
9.       God used Moses to deliver His people from the oppressive rule of Pharaoh through a series of plagues.

After Moses led the people out of Egypt God met him at Mt. Sinai and entered into a covenant with him and gave him the tablets of the law written by the finger of God (Ex.
20).
11.   Moses shepherded the Hebrews through the wilderness for forty years until the time they entered the promised  land.

Moses was not allowed to enter the promised land but was only allowed to view it from afar because he did not show the Lord as holy before the Israelites at the waters of Meribah (Numbers 20:12-13).
He died at 120 years old and God buried him (Deut.
34:5-8)
