1. Isolation is not good.
Family is the starting place for fellowship.
Isolation is not the same as alone time with God.
Jesus went away by himself to pray.
it’s okay to have alone time.
I think that is why the Lord commands us to have our priorities together as it comes to sabbatical we need to break the crazy cycle that is the world.
however we need to make sure we are not isolating.
Of course there are priorities of fellowship.
if you have a wife (or a girlfriend that you hope one day shall become a wife) she needs to come first.
if she proves not to be wife material for whatever reason you are going to have to make some hard decisions .
Just because you have found a female doesn't mean you have found a wife. it might work behind closed doors, but there are many more hours in the day then what may happen behind closed doors.
Just because you find a man doesn't mean you have found a husband.
He may even make a good paycheck but if He doesn't love God more than he loves you he wont be able to love you right.
you have to spend time with your minor children.
the reason I say this is because the younger generations are refusing to grow up and many of you who have children that you will one day have to kick out of the nest you don't need this verse used against you.
I can hear you telling me my spouse isn’t spiritual… if you are the husband let me ask you, are you giving yourself to her as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her?
2. Friendships come out of Fellowship
let’s look at the fellowship part of the scripture.
those who believed where together.
they spent time together.
they continued daily:
Breaking Bred
from house to house.
with simplicity
and gladness
simplicity of heart.
3. Friends are born for adversity.
a brother is born for adversity but a friend loves at all times.
and there must be reciprocity.
