Opening Prayer

Father I ask you to awaken my heart to your Word. Fill my soul with your wisdom and truth. Lead me in your way everlasting. Amen

Psalm 4

Psalm 4:8 ESV
8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Safe In His Hands

God I need you to answer me when I am hurting and in need of justice. I know you always answer, but still I am anxious and pray you hear my prayer.
Outsiders mock me for my faith, they even lie about me with empty words. Still I know God is with me. He called me to be a part of his family.
Outsiders don’t have to stay on the outside. God always invites the strangers in out of the cold. Everyone has doubts and fears when they lay their heads on their pillows. The night terrors are comforted when you rest with God. Freedom for anyone who will surrender their pride and trust in him.
It’s easy to praise God in the good times. It’s tempting to make God a good luck charm. But I have found joy in His preence even as I sit sorrow. SHaring rears with the divine is better than being lost in a drunk stooper.
I can sleep and rest in peace knowing you are God and I am safe in your hands.

Prayer

God I pray to you knowing you hear me and are already working to answer my prayer. You are an amazing God. Thank you for inviting me into your presence through prayer and in my daily life as I think about you. You are always moving. God I pray for those who are on the outside of your family today. Help me extend an invitation to the into your presence. I pray they will find the same comfort and rest that I have found in you. Amen.
