Notes & Transcripts

Lent is the 40 days preceding Easter for a specific time of soul-searching, reflection, fasting, preparation and repentance.  Ash Wednesday, February 6th begins this forty day period.

During Lent we will be learning and participating in the classic Disciplines or spiritual practices of the Christian Faith.  The inward Disciplines of meditation, prayer, fasting, and study, offer avenues of personal examination and change. The outward Disciplines of simplicity, solitude, stewardship, and service, help prepare us to make the world a better place. The corporate Disciplines of confession, worship, guidance, and celebration, bring us nearer to one another and to God.

Plan to join us every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary to reflect and participate in the disciplines of Prayer, Fasting, Study, Solitude, Worship and Meditation.  Disciplines to be covered during Lenten season on Sunday mornings will include Simplicity, Corporate Guidance, Stewardship, Corporate Confession, Service and Celebration.
